Thread: Here I am

    Wink Here I am

    I' m Jonathan aka"Fasty", I'm an alcoholic, and a VW freak, I think....

I've been through a couple VW's, a '69Fasty, an '01 TDi Golf(killed by drunk driver), an '05 TDi Golf(the "new" daily), and last and certainly not least my '56 Oval bucket project..

Picked the Oval up little after last years Lakeport show, and have been slowy going through it, up until recently where I can see the end end site, and haven't even had the time/money to find a little honey because I'm so VW absorbed....

    So on to the pics....

    Ye ole' FASTY

    The D.O.A TDi

    Drunken old ladies SUCK!

The "new" daily(seems I've always got a flat)

And the Oval the day I brought here home..

    Decent Dash...

    Super FAKE W decklid

    I do fit

    The $70 decklid to be
looks like junk on the inside....

    Good fender..

I must be messing something up here...

    YUMMY brakes

First time front end was back on the ground after a couple months... redid the WHOLE front end, and lowered her a little...

hmmm, is that Becky's notch hiding under there....

Fast forward a little bit, redid the ass end incuding trans, played dress up with the rack and cooler

    Wait.... She's black NOW!!!!

And thats, about where we sit... actually got the decklid, hood, and the other misc. bits painted this weekend... hope to get the windshield in tomorrow, the little bits and pieces this week, and maybe get the motor in this weekend... still won't be starting it till maybe the next.... of course it could happen sooner, or get pushed back some......fingers crossed for Nov NAG meet, probably won't be rollin' with door glass...

Yeah, the old TDi was ALOT quicker, with the turbo upgrade, injectors, and chip... but the new one handles better.....

Bit of a bummer today... yeah, I bricked... broke ANOTHER windshield... at least it made it to the car this time... my neighbor who helped and has done a handful of windshields thought it was a bit larger than it should have been... I was tryin a bit too hard to push it in the hole so he could start flippin the lip over the channel...

Might see what it cost to have it done profesionaly....

You broke tha oval windshield once more. I know how much of a purist you are but I think fiber galss may be your best bet. Do you still have the smoked one to put in it? Just so you can make it to nag next month?

Ii know why I liked the other one............. headlights those ones are bad ass
